Our guidelines on photography

The Society's visits to privately-owned houses are a privilege and we are grateful for the goodwill of their owners. In return we wish to respect their privacy. Therefore, we ask all participants to comply with the following guidelines.

  • Please assume that any photographs taken during our visits are for personal and private use only, unless otherwise agreed with the property owner.
  • The publication of such photographs in any form (including websites and social media), and any commercial use of them, will always require the permission of the property owner.

More detailed guidance, particularly in respect of interior photographs, will usually be given on the day of the visit. In some cases, interior photography will not be permitted.
